  • Full Blood Count (FBC)
  • Peripheral Blood Film(PBF)
  • Renal Function Test (RFT)
  • Random Blood Sugar
  • HbA1c Sugar Profile
  • Liver Function Test (LFT)
  • Cholesterol Test
  • Uric Acid
  • Urine Test (UFEME)

FULL BLOOD COUNT (FBC)

A full blood count (FBC), is a key diagnostic test that provides essential information about overall health status. It measures various components of blood, including:
  1. White Blood Cells (WBCs): An elevated or decreased count can indicate infection, inflammation, or immune disorders. It can indicate disease like respiratory tract infection, skin infection, etc.
  2. Hemoglobin (Hb): This protein in red blood cells carries oxygen. Low levels may suggest anemia that may caused by low iron diet, bleeding, etc.
  3. Platelets: These help with blood clotting. Abnormal levels can indicate bleeding disorders or bone marrow issues. It also can indicate disease like Dengue Fever.

PERIPHERAL BLOOD FILM (PBF)

A peripheral blood film (PBF), also known as a blood smear, is a laboratory test used to examine the characteristics of blood cells under a microscope.

It provides valuable information about the types and morphology of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. It can help in determine disease like thalassemia, leukemia, thrombocytopenia.

RENAL FUNCTION TEST (RFT)

A Renal Function Test (RFT) evaluates how well the kidneys are functioning.

It is use to assess kidney health and diagnose potential kidney disease by evaluating glomerular filtration rate (GFR) value.

LIVER FUNCTION TEST ( LFT )

LIVER FUNCTION TEST
( LFT )

A Liver Function Test (LFT) is a panel of blood tests that assess the health of the liver by measuring various enzymes, proteins, and substances produced or processed by the liver.

It can indicate liver problem like jaundice, fatty liver, hepatitis, cirrhosis etc.

URIC ACID (UA)

Uric acid is a waste product formed from the breakdown of protein, substances found in certain foods and drinks, as well as produced by the body.

It can indicate disease like gout.

RANDOM BLOOD SUGAR

  • It can be used to measure blood sugar level at any time of day.
  • Normal random blood sugar levels typically range from 5 to 8.5 mmol/L.
  • Levels above this may indicate diabetes or prediabetes, while levels below may suggest hypoglycemia.
  • Set appointment to know your blood sugar level(hyperlink test offered)

HBa1c

Is a test that measures your average blood sugar levels over the past 2 to 3 months. It’s expressed as a percentage.
  • Normal range: Typically below 6.3%
  • Prediabetes: 5.7% to 6.2%
  • Diabetes: 6.3% or higher
Monitoring HbA1c helps in diagnosing diabetes and assessing how well blood sugar levels are controlled over time.(hyperlink test offered)

CHOLESTEROL TEST

It measures the levels of various types fats in blood. It typically includes:
  1. Total cholesterol: The overall amount of cholesterol in your blood.
  2. Low-density lipoprotein (LDL): Often referred to as “bad” cholesterol; high levels can lead to plaque in blood vessel hence poor blood circulation.
  3. High-density lipoprotein (HDL): Known as “good” cholesterol; it helps remove LDL(bad) cholesterol from the bloodstream.
  4. Triglycerides: A type of fat found in the blood; high levels can increase the risk of heart disease.

C- REACTIVE PROTEIN (CRP)

CRP is a protein made by the liver and sent into the bloodstream. Blood levels may be higher when you have inflammation or an infection. it can indicate infection like upper respiratory infection chronic cough etc.

URINE TEST ( UFEME )

A urine analysis, that examines the physical, chemical, and microscopic properties of urine.

It can help detect a variety of conditions, including infections, kidney disease, metabolic disorders such as diabetes and kidney stone.
