STRESS
Stress is how your body and mind react to challenges or
demands. It can make you feel overwhelmed and can come from various sources, like work or personal issues.
Types of Stress:
- Acute Stress: Short-term stress from immediate problems or events.
- Chronic Stress: Long-term stress from ongoing issues.
Symptoms of Stress:
- Emotional: Feeling anxious, irritable, or overwhelmed.
- Physical: Headaches, tiredness, muscle tension, or stomach issues.
- Behavioral: Trouble sleeping, changes in appetite, or avoiding social activities.
DEPRESSION
Depression is a mental health condition characterized by persistent feelings of
sadness, hopelessness, and a loss of interest or pleasure in activities. It can affect
how you think, feel, and handle daily activities.

Symptoms of Depression:
Depressed Mood
- Loss of Interest: No longer enjoying activities you used to like.
- Appetite Changes: Eating too much or too little, leading to weight changes.
- Sleep Issues: Difficulty sleeping or sleeping too much.
- Fatigue: Feeling very tired or low on energy.
- Feelings of worthlessness or excessive or inappropriate guilt.
- Diminished ability to think or concentrate, or indecisiveness.
- Recurrent thoughts of death, recurrent suicidal ideation without a specific plan, or suicide attempt or a specific plan.
- Social Withdrawal: Avoiding friends and activities.
- Reduced Performance: Doing worse at work or school.

PANIC DISORDER
Recurrent unexpected panic attacks. A panic attack is an abrupt
surge of intense fear or intense discomfort that reaches a peak
within minutes.
Symptoms of Panic Attack:
- Palpitations, pounding heart, or accelerated heart rate.
- Sweating.
- Trembling or shaking.
- Sensations of shortness of breath or smothering.
- Feelings of choking.
- Chest pain or discomfort.
- Nausea or abdominal distress.
- Feeling dizzy, unsteady, light-headed, or faint.
- Chills or heat sensations.
- Paresthesias (numbness or tingling sensations).
- Derealization (feelings of unreality) or depersonalization (being detached from oneself).
- Fear of losing control or ‘going crazy’.
- Fear of dying.
ANXIETY
Anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, often about an imminent
event or something with an uncertain outcome. It can be a normal reaction to
stress but can become problematic if it is excessive, persistent, or interferes with
daily life.

Symptoms of Anxiety:
- Excessive Worry : Constant and overwhelming concern.
- Difficult to control the worry.
- Restlessness : Feeling on edge or unable to relax.
- Easily fatigued.
- Difficult to concentrate.
- Irritability.
- Muscle tension.
- Sleep disturbance.
- Avoidance : Staying away from anxiety-inducing situations.
